Murshid-e Kamil, Wali Allah, the founder of Darbar Sharif: Qibla Aalam, Jaane Aalam, Zareen Zarbakht, Sultan ul awliya Hazrat Khawaja Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA). The sound of "Allah Hoo" became a constant reminder for people to discover their inner-self, and many people changed their lives for good. Personalities known for their love and passion for God: Qayyum e panjam, Shahbaaz e tareeqat, Khawaja e khwajgaan, Hazrat Al-Haajj Khawaja Mohammad Masoom (RA). Waqif e ramooz e Tareeqat, Hazrat Alhaajj Khawaja Mohammad Zubair (mza), expressed passion for God through their remembrance of God, dhikr "Allah Hoo". On 7th March, 1931 Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) with great respect and after spending an exemplary time serving his sheikh, migrated to Mohri Sharif.For a long time, he remained busy praying in the western part of Mohri Sharif. He served guests to the Jammiah Mosque with best gesture. During that time, the landlord (Raja) of Mohri Sharif and his mother requested Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) to accept their land in the eastern part of the town for Darbar’s construction. He refused to take the land. Raja sahib insisted and offered a deal. If the distance between the house of Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen’s (RA) sheikh Hazrat Hafiz Abdul Kareem (RA) and his darbar is same as the distance between Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen’s (RA) house and the proposed darbar site then Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) must accept the land as Allah’s will.
Therefore after measuring the distance, it turned out the distance is the same. Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) accepted the land according to Allah’s will.
The surface of new proposed land was irregular and bumpy. It was quite hard work to make it smooth. Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) and his companions constructed a majestic Jammiah Mosque and even today a commanding tomb of Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) is present in Mohri Sharif where million of people gain spiritual benefits from.
There is grand three way entrance to the tomb of Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) and Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Masoom (RA). The tomb has a central dome with a huge chandelier in the middle. Walls of the tomb are decorated with Quranic verses similar to Mughal style architecture. Outside the tomb there are twenty arches creating a grand entrance towards the tomb.

Mian Mahboob Ahmad (Chief Justice High Court Lahore) presented 30th part (para) of Quran which weighs 40 kg, inscription by Madina Quran Company Lahore. World wide famous calligrapher Khursheed Aalam Gohar provided his calligraphy services in this script. This sacred script is placed for pilgrims to view in the tomb of Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) and Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Masoom (RA) in Darbar-e-Aalia Mohri Sharif.
Sacred Tomb
Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) proposed place of his grave near Shukriya Masjid. Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Masoom (RA) requested a location near the Jamiah Mosque so that a tomb could be created within the Darbar-e-Aalia Mohri Sharif. Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) accepted his request. Therefore he chose southern part of Jamiah Mosque for his tomb.

Family GraveyardWithin Darbar-e-Aalia Mohri Sharif towards the northern part of Jamiah Mosque a family graveyard is constructed. In this graveyard:
wife of Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA), Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Hussain (RA), wife of Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Hussain (RA), Hazrat Sahibzada Aziz –u- Rehman (RA), wife of Hazrat Sahibzada Aziz –u- Rehman (RA), wife of Hazrat Sahibzada Mahboob Illahi, and Hazrat Sahibzada Mohammed Hafiz –u- Rehman (RA) are burried. |

Family GraveyardWife of Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Masoom (RA)'s shrine is built outside the grand shrine of Darbar Sharif. A mureed of Hazrat Khawaja Sufi Nawab uDeen(RA) Appa Zaiban un Nisa, who spent her entire life serving her sheikh is also buried in the shrine. This shrine is built to recognize the importance of both personalities buried in that shrine.

Jamiah Masjid Zareen Zarbakht

Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) constructed a mosque in Darbar-e-Aalia Mohri Sharif in 1963 and named the mosque Masjid Zareen Zarbakht. The mosque was extended in 1989 after Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) passed away due to increase in pilgrims’ visit and accommodation. Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Masoom (RA) supervised the extension himself. Masjid Zareen Zarbakht is eighty feet long and thirty feet wide. In the middle of the mosque there is a marvellous dome in which ninety nine names of Allah are carved in Mughal style architecture. World wide known calligrapher Khursheed Aalam Gohar spent his precious time carving and engraving some of the best art pieces for mosque’s decoration. His work has given the appeal to mosque as it is built with jewels. There are wide verandas around the mosque with arches on the entrance. The mosque has a huge courtyard which has marble floor. There is a tall eighty feet long minaret built with the mosque which is visible from big distance away from the mosque.
Shukriya Masjid
Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) started construction of another mosque near Darbar-e-Aalia Mohri Sharif and named the mosque as Shukriya Mosque. This mosque is built on top of a hill. While explaining significance of the mosque, he mentioned anyone who will pray Nafil prayer in this mosque for fulfilment of certain desire will get it fulfilled.

Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) allowed anyone of his spiritual students who wish to be buried in Mohri Sharif shall be buried in the graveyard of Shukriya Masjid. Many of his spiritual students have been buried in the graveyard since then.

Langar Khana

In Darbar-e-Aalia Mohri Sharif to handle meals for daily routine and at major events such as annual Urs and congregations a grand langar khana has been constructed beside Darbar sharif. The grand facility has enough equipment and storage area to make meal for 100,000 people at the same time. Langar khana also has facility for pilgrims to stay overnight in the events of Urs or Milad -u- Nabi congregations. |
Blessed Tunnel (Ghar Mubarik)
Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) also constructed a long and eighteen stairs deep tunnel in the darbar sharif. The tunnel was 12 feet wide and 40 feet deep. He used to prayer there in internment. In the construction Saain Nazir Ahmad, Saain Mehar Ijaib and Sufi Ashiq Ali worked in great deal. On top of the tunnel personal residence of Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) was located.
Hoz e Shafa

In 1962 Hazrat Sufi Nawab uDeen (RA) ordered construction of a pool for pilgrims to make ablution and named the pool Hoze Shafa where its water would be blessed and cure for many diseases. After he passed away Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Masoom (RA) renovated the pool. The pool area is 80 by 50 feet and 23 feet deep.
Hoz e Shafa has gone through another phase of renovation in 2008. Hazrat Khawaja Mohammed Zubair (MZA) renovated Hoz e Shafa fully with placing marble stones within and around the pool. This has uplifted the look and feel of the pool. |
